Purple Inc.

Purple Inc. is a company, as well as a province of Solstice. It is owned by Purple Holdings Inc., which also owns other subsidiaries under the Purple umbrella. Purple Holdings Inc. is entirely owned by Ashe, who is also the chief executive officer and sole board member of Purple Inc.

Geography

Purple Inc. is located in southern Solstice, and does not border any existing Solstan province. It shares a maritime border with the Republic of Quebec.

Purple's headquarters, known as Purple Place, is located on the western side of the province.

Structure

Purple Holdings Inc.

Purple Holdings Inc. was founded on 22 December 2023, at which point all shares in Purple Inc. got transferred to it. Its sole purpose was to own other companies under the Purple umbrella, enabling it to carry out activities that may be impractical or legally impossible as a Solstan province.

Purple Inc.

Purple Inc. was originally founded as a non-corporate Solstan province under the name Unnamed Solstan Province on 10 December 2023. At the same time, the Provincial Court of Unnamed Solstan Province was established, with its chief justice being Ashe.

The province was formally incorporated as Purple Inc. on 20 December 2023, becoming the first corporate province of Solstice Federation, and was 2 days later made a subsidiary of Purple Holdings Inc.

Shortly after People's Democratic Federal Republic of Solstice was established, Purple Inc. seceded on 8 May 2024, becoming the first corporate sovereign state on the server. It joined the Solstan Union on 9 May 2024 in order to ensure its own safety. Upon the ratification of the Fourth Federal Constitution of the Solstan Federation on 1 June 2024, Purple Inc. became a Solstan province once again.

Purple Commerce Inc.

Purple Commerce Inc. was founded on 22 December 2023 as a subsidiary of Purple Holdings Inc. for the purpose of being able to do business with other entities without being constrained by the Solstan constitution's limit on the power that provinces have.

Purple Software Inc.

Purple Software Inc. was founded on 22 February 2024 as a subsidiary of Purple Holdings Inc. as its software development arm. It is responsible for all software development activities under Purple Holdings Inc., including holding any intellectual property rights associated with said software.

Unlike the other companies, Purple Software Inc. is registered not within Solstice, but within Republic of Quebec. This is with the goal of avoiding Solstan regulation pertaining to software, particularly the Software Freedom Act.

Purple Software Inc. exclusively licenses its software to Purple Commerce Inc., which is then responsible for distributing it.
