The 1.20.4 Update Incident was a major server incident that happened on January 5, 2024. It caused the server to crash multiple times, and the splatter map feature to not work on the ImageOnMap plugin which led to a new plugin being installed.
Cause
Server Crashing
It was speculated by Victor that the server's disk was having issues, which is the most likely cause.
IOM Splatter Map Not Functioning
IOM has not been maintained since July 13, 2022, and has been stuck on 1.17/1.18.1. Due to this issue, a new plugin was implemented and nearly all IOM maps were migrated.

January 5, 2024 at 19:00 UTC: The server performance started to drop, people speculated that it was caused by WorldEdit but it got disproven quickly.
January 6, 2024 at 07:26 UTC: Server crashed for the first time since updating.
