Chomedey is an upcoming borough within the within the agglomeration of Alee Isle. The name comes from a neighbourhood in Laval, Quebec.

Proposed names

There were several names proposed but were not accepted such as:

Brossard
Saint-Laurent
Laurent

These names were named after Montreal boroughs or Quebec cities.
