Dozhda, officially the Dozhdan Republic, is a former province of the Solstice Federation. Located in northeastern Solstice, it is the largest province by area of the provinces. Its capital and largest city is Szki, which is also the largest city in the nation.
The Dozhdan government is a semi-presidential democratic constitutional republic with three branches of government: legislative, executive, and judicial. The Assembly of the Dozhdan Republic is bicameral, as it has the Senate and the House of Representatives, both with fifty members each. It is a devolved unitary state, consisting of eight prefectures which de facto have all power regarding infrastructure and other parts of domestic policy. This is due to the Second Solstan Civil War, which has made the national government preside over all foreign policy, especially defense. Residents of Dozhda elect the Governor of Dozhda, and each senator and representative. After the election, the Senate chooses the Premier of Dozhda, and the Governor and Premier split the executive power.
Dozhda is bordered by Firefly to the north, and Sleebieville to the west. To the east, it's bordered by the Union of Soviet Sovereign Republics.
