Solstice Metro System
The Solstice Metro System is a proposed double-track underground train system in Solstice with some minor developments in Bohemia. The section of the Solstice Metro System in Firefly and Szki Lanes has been transferred to Firefly-Szki Transportation and the rest of the system defederalized. The now federally recommended transport systems are AirCS and SQTR.
Passengers press a button to call for a train which promptly arrives within 10 seconds. Trains of the Solstice Metro do not stop, but slow down enough at stations for passengers to be able to exit. Minecarts leaving stations without passengers are incinerated, preventing clutter.
Similar projects in Solstice include the Szki Lanes Tram Network and Bohemian Regional Trains.
Currently, there are only two functioning stations, Central Firefly and East Firefly.
Defederalization
Due to it being underground and not meeting AirCS regulations, the Solstan government decided to defederalize the system and use AirCS and SQTR to replace it in its role in Solstice. The already built sections were transferred to the local transport authorities, with the one in Firefly-Szki being rebranded. Now provincial and local transport authorities hold the authority over the construction and planning of the remaining Solstice Metro System.
Current Plans
With the only remaining station being in Prehevil under the authority of Bohémské dráhy. In Bohemia,the plans to expand and use the Solstice Metro System in addition to Bohemian Regional Trains and AirCS continue to exist.
